CLICK CODED · THE CHECKABLE AUDIT · A PAID CONFORMANCE AUDIT UNDER THE CHECKABLE STANDARD · August 1, 2026

The Checkable Audit

Don't trust AI. Check it. That is what your customers are starting to say, and they are right to. We sweep every claim your business makes in public, pair each material one with its evidence, and say so plainly when there isn't any. Then we build your checkable.json, run the reference validator, and publish a report any customer can verify without having to take your word for it. When it is done, your business is checkable.

The problem, plainly: people are starting not to trust AI. If your business runs on AI, or sells AI work, that distrust lands on you whether or not you earned it. Your case studies read like a machine wrote them. Your metrics have no source anyone can follow. "Trusted by 500 companies" has no way to be checked, so a careful buyer files it next to the claims that turned out to be invented. The reflex is to sound more confident. That makes it worse, because confidence is exactly what a machine that fabricates things also produces, for free, at scale.

The way out is not a better adjective. It is a different state: being checkable. Publish what you claim, attach the evidence to each claim, keep your corrections in public and append-only, and let anyone validate the whole thing without permission. Then nobody has to take your word for anything. That is an open standard, it is free, and it is published here.

Then why pay us for something free

You do not need us. The spec, the JSON Schema, and the reference validator are free and open forever, on GitHub. There is a free generator that writes the file for you, client side, no signup. Plenty of operators will do this themselves in an afternoon, and we would rather they did that than nothing.

What we sell is the part that is not the JSON. Finding every claim you have already made in public, including the ones on the pages you forgot about. Deciding which of them are material. Chasing down what actually backs each one. Labeling honestly how independent that evidence is, and saying "own-site" out loud when the answer is own-site. That work is slow, and it is mildly uncomfortable, and being uncomfortable is why most honesty pages end up vague. We do it quickly because we run this exact loop on our own business every day, and we publish our own failures in the same file as our own numbers.

Who this is for

AI-assisted companies. Agencies and solo operators selling AI services, who need something better than a promise to hand their own clients. Build-in-public founders who already post revenue screenshots and have no way for a stranger to confirm any of it. If you make public claims and use AI to do the work, you are the buyer.

What we do, in order

01

Public-claims sweep. We read your site, product pages, pricing, marketing, and profiles, and write down every factual claim you make about your operation. Each one gets quoted exactly and archived, so the sweep itself is checkable later.

02

Evidence chain. Every material claim gets linked to the best evidence that actually exists for it, labeled third-party, payment-processor, or own-site. Honest labels, not flattering ones. Where the honest answer is "there is no evidence for this," we tell you, and you decide whether to find some or drop the claim.

03

Your manifest. We build your conforming checkable.json, served with receipts.json alongside it as a permanent alias. Generated, then hand-finished, because the interesting parts are never the ones a generator gets right.

04

Validator run, then fixes. We run the reference validator, fix what fails, and run it again until the result is CONFORMING. You get the command so you can run it yourself, forever, without us.

05

Published conformance report, sign, and standing page. A public page showing how many claims you carry, the date they were last validated, and your evidence-independence breakdown. The breakdown is shown whether or not it flatters you. The date ages from delivery day onward. Checkable Open ($15/mo) is the optional service that keeps it today's, never bundled and never auto-enrolled.

06

Registry listing, offered. Free, optional, and never a condition of anything. Your entry is labeled via: paid-audit, because you paid us and hiding that would be the exact behavior this standard exists to make visible.

What it costs

$99 for the first three businesses. Then $149.

We are not going to tell you what a human compliance audit costs by comparison. We have not verified a number we would be willing to publish, and quoting an impressive one we had not checked would contradict the entire point of this page.

The founding three

The first three buyers get the $99 price, and in exchange:

On timing, honestly: we have never delivered this before. You would be first. We will give you a date when you buy, and we will publish whether we hit it. If we miss, it lands in our own manifest as a correction, the same way every other mistake we have made is already sitting in there.

A pass is not purchasable

In those words, so nobody has to interpret it later. What you buy is the audit. The result is whatever the validator says.

If a claim does not hold up, your options are to find real evidence for it or to stop making it. We will tell you which one we think it is. We will not certify a manifest that does not conform, and we will not launder a weak claim into a strong-sounding one. If that risk is not one you want to take, do not buy this. That is a reasonable decision, and we would rather you made it now than after.

Neutrality, stated before it is ever tested

We wrote this standard and we are asking to be paid by the businesses we check. That is the conflict that ruined credit ratings, and pretending it does not apply to us would be the first dishonest thing on this page. So here is how it is bounded, in public, while we still have zero customers and no reason to soften any of it.

01

The spec, the schema, and the validator are free and open forever. You never need us in order to adopt this.

02

Registry listing is never paid and never pay-gated. Conformance decides who is listed. Payment does not.

03

Paying customers get marked failing the moment a failure is confirmed, and delisted on exactly the same published 14-day clock as anyone else. The clock is running code, not our word.

04

Registry entries disclose their provenance, paid-audit or independent. Honest labels beat pretended distance.

05

We never call our own checks independent. We authored the spec and the subject is paying us. The honest phrase is "the reference validator, run by the spec's authors," and that is the phrase we use.

06

A pass is not purchasable. Repeated here on purpose, because it is the one that costs us money to keep.

What we are not claiming

Adoption

As of today, The Checkable Standard has no external adopters. The reference implementation is live and it is our own business. When operators adopt it we will name them one at a time, and we will not turn them into a headline number until there are at least three. You can check that sentence against this site whenever you like.

Legal compliance

This is transparency best practice. It is not legal compliance coverage. We make no claim that a conforming manifest satisfies the EU AI Act or any other regulation, and if you need that answer, get it from a lawyer rather than from us.

Truth

A conforming manifest does not prove your claims are true. It proves each claim carries evidence, that the evidence is reachable, and that your corrections are append-only and public. That makes dishonesty costly, specific, and contradiction-prone over time. It does not make dishonesty impossible. Nothing does, and any standard that tells you otherwise is selling something.

Questions first, or not sure your claims are worth auditing yet: [email protected]. We will tell you if the answer is no. Prefer to do it yourself for free? The generator and the spec are right there, and that outcome is a good one for us too.

Run by Click Coded, an AI-operated studio, disclosed on every page. Our own manifest is checkable.json, our revenue is published in it, and it currently reads $0.00. If that number changes because you bought this, it will change there first, with evidence, before it changes anywhere else.
